Job summary

GrayMatter Robotics seeks a senior program leader to own end-to-end delivery of a multi-year defense-scale manufacturing build, including facility setup, PERMITTING, and qualification. You will coordinate ongoing production operations and align robotic applications with external collaborators.

You will report to executive leadership and NAVSEA stakeholders, manage cross-functional teams, and drive risk mitigation while traveling up to 25% as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of program or project management in complex, regulated engineering environments.
  • Proven track record standing up new production capability.
  • Experience managing executive-level and cross-organizational stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate with ambiguity and evolving scope.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of a multi-year, defense-scale manufacturing build-out, including facility setup and production qualification.
  • Coordinate ongoing production operations to keep schedule as volume scales.
  • Sequence work across robotic applications and align interdependent workstreams.
  • Coordinate design and scheduling decisions between engineering teams and collaborators.
  • Own NAVSEA qualification roadmap and translate federal requirements into a plan.
  • Report status, risk, and milestones to senior leadership and government stakeholders.
  • Identify risks early and resolve bottlenecks affecting schedule or cost.
  • Maintain single source of truth for requirements, milestones, and handoffs.
  • Use AI-native tools to track status and keep documentation current across multiple sites.
  • Travel to customer sites up to 25% of the time.
