Job summary

A leading defense contractor in San Diego is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to manage installations, repairs, and modernization initiatives onboard ships. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and the ability to interpret technical specifications. Qualifications

• Must possess a REAL ID or U.S. Passport.
• Target five (5) years of experience in design, installation, testing and/or repair of ships.
• Ability to read and interpret ship installation drawings and NAVSEA Standard Items is crucial.
• Must have a SECRET clearance and ability to access local shipyards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control activities at job sites and/or onboard vessels.
• Ensure projects progress as scheduled and comply with contract specifications.
• Work with management on Surface and Submarine Alterations.
• Interface with clients regarding task assignments.
