Job summary

Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Quality Control professional to perform shipboard/alteration inspections referencing MIL-STD standards and NAVSEA requirements. You will document all "As Found" conditions in the QA Workbook and verify complete test and inspection records prior to certification.

Ability to read blueprints and develop Test and Inspection Plans with V, I, and G level inspection points is essential, along with ensuring data conformance to ISO and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 6–8 years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree with 0–2 years of experience.
• ISO Lead Auditor Training a plus; Certified Quality Inspector; NAVSEA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work with QAM and Project Manager to identify inspections in the QA Workbook.
• Review NAVSEA Standard Items, NAVSEA 9090-310, MIL-STDs and MIL-SPECs for on-board installations.
• Ensure inspections meet contractual requirements and company procedures.
• Review and certify data, ensuring compliance with ISO and regulatory standards.
• Possess C5ISR Installation, Quality Assurance, or Quality Control experience.
• Approve finished products by testing and potential re-work.
• Ensure QA forms and OQE documentation are completed with signatures.
• Maintain safe work environment and access all areas on U.S. Naval Vessels.
