Job summary

Amentum is seeking a AN/SPS-67/SPS-73(V)12 Radar Technician to support the In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) for Navigation and Surface Search Radar systems. This role covers technical support, field change installations, performance evaluation, training, documentation, maintenance procedures, and underway testing, with the ISEA as the radar SME onboard.

The position requires travel, a former Navy Electronics Technician or civilian equivalent, and an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting Navy radar systems.
• Active Secret US Government Clearance required; US citizenship required to maintain clearance.
• Experience working in Navy technical support and fleet support teams.
• Experience documenting team activities and accomplishments.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering efforts related to design, testing and analysis of Navigation and Surface Search Radar System upgrades or modifications.
• Support technical documentation upgrades or modifications required as a result of system improvements.
• Perform post-installation System Operational Verification Test (SOVT) and On-the-Job Training (OJT) for ship’s force.
• Travel on short notice to US and overseas locations; passport required.
• Practical experience in maintenance, repair, technical documentation, parts procurement, testing and operation of Navy radar systems.
• Practical experience with training, preventative maintenance, use of technical documentation, parts support, technical reports and documenting maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Experience in underway test and evaluation of Navy radar systems.
