Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. (Ingalls Shipbuilding) in Pascagoula, MS, seeks a skilled production scheduler to plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules, coordinating with material requirements to ensure a smooth flow of approved materials timed to meet production needs.

You will advise management on work in progress, material availability and potential problems, schedule equipment and personnel, prepare work orders for components, and coordinate interdepartmental activity

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 7 years' experience.
• Bachelor's Degree or above and 3 years' experience.
• Internal Candidates Only – 18 months of experience as a Surveyor-Outside (P) or 1st Class Journeyman

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules.
• Coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials.
• Advises management of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems.
• Schedules equipment and personnel; prepares work orders or purchase requests for production or components.
• Coordinates interdepartmental activity with QA, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, and traffic.
