Job summary

The Mission Essential Group, LLC in Suitland, MD seeks a Naval Maritime Infantry Analyst (Mid) to provide all-source analysis and OpELINT support to ONI for Maritime Domain Awareness. You will analyze foreign maritime activities and produce actionable intelligence for CIP/COP applications.

Qualified candidates will have ELINT/OPINTEL experience and TS/SCI clearance. The role emphasizes independent work, collaboration across IC peers, and guidance in analytic methodologies within DoD standards.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience with the Intelligence Community GALE system
• At least 1 year of experience with NSA's WRANGLER database; a skill set comparable to the Navy's Cryptologic Technician (Technical) (CTT) at the E-5 level (or NEC 9140, NEC 9102, or USMC MOS 2631)
• At least 3 years of experience as an ELINT specialist and at least 2 years of experience with OPINTEL analysis and identification
• Demonstrates comprehensive mission knowledge and skills that affirms completion of all developmental training and experiences for the position
• Demonstrates ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and / or technically advanced
• Demonstrates ability to structure analysis based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines
• Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction
• Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution
• Demonstrates ability to develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive products in accordance with defense intelligence analytical standards and guidance
• Demonstrates ability to lead teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems by providing guidance in selecting, designing, and applying analytic methodologies
• TS/SCI clearance is required

Responsibilities

• The Naval Maritime Infantry Analyst will support the Kennedy Maritime Analysis Center (KMAC), Office of Naval Intelligence in providing quality all-source analysis expertise and operational electronic intelligence (OpELINT) support to Maritime Domain Awareness efforts.

• All-source analytical production on foreign naval air, surface, undersea warfare and or naval infantry / amphibious / expeditionary forces and associated their operations to include but are not limited to exercises, tactics, platforms, sensors, strategy and doctrine, weapons and readiness.

Job Description

The Naval Maritime Infantry Analyst will support the Kennedy Maritime Analysis Center (KMAC), Office of Naval Intelligence in providing quality all-source analysis expertise and operational electronic intelligence (OpELINT) support to Maritime Domain Awareness efforts. These efforts include, but are not limited to:

• Analyzing foreign civil maritime activities and assets to include, but not limited to, merchant vessels, cargo movements, fisheries / marine resources, territorial seas and related claims, crime and piracy, counterintelligence, counter-narcotics, counter-proliferation, off-shore infrastructures and strategic trade.
• Provide status updates as required on vessel locations to ONI assigned MDA common intelligence and operational pictures (CIP/COP) applications and databases in support of operational and analytic customers.
