Job summary

Ultra Maritime is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician in Boston, MA, to support the hardware development lifecycle and production of sonar and radar products. Responsibilities include building and testing electronic systems, maintaining equipment, and diagnosing issues. A strong background in electrical engineering with at least 6 years of experience is required. An associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. The role requires U.S. citizenship for security clearance and offers competitive compensation and benefits including PTO, 401(k), and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security clearance (only granted to U.S. citizens).
• Experience supporting DoD, Navy, or defense electronics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Building, assembling, wiring, and testing electronic systems for maritime defense applications.
• Diagnose, repair, and test complex electronic subsystems.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers.

Skills

Excellent soldering skills

Ability to interpret schematics, diagrams, and engineering documentation

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education

High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6+ years of related experience

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) or a related technical degree
