Job summary

AdvantEdge Technology, Inc. in Port Hueneme, CA seeks an Associate Technical Applications Specialist to support the DMS Department, handling obsolescence for Navy parts and coordinating with US and FMS ships. You will research DMS cases, manage replacements and inventory, and provide detailed reports.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to communicate with engineers, technicians, and vendors. A security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate’s Degree and 1–3 years of applicable experience or no degree and 4–5 years of applicable experience.
• Must be able to research DMS cases and provide resolution, including lifetime buys and bridge buys.
• Must be able to research replacements evaluating Form, Fit, Function (F3) replacement, Permanent Support Items (PSI), and system redesign.
• Must be able to review DMS Surveys, Inventory Lists, APLs and AELs.
• Must be able to maintain and update excel-based inventory spreadsheets to support asset tracking.
• Must be able to develop logistics status reports such as LITR summaries.

Responsibilities

• Support DMS obsolescence for US and FMS Navy ships.
• Research DMS cases and provide resolutions including lifetime and bridge buys.
• Evaluate replacements for Form, Fit, Function and PSI/AEL considerations.
• Review DMS Surveys, Inventory Lists, APLs and AELs.
• Maintain Excel-based inventory spreadsheets for asset tracking and resource allocation.
• Develop logistics status reports to aid decision-making.
• Document DCMP status and DMSMS actions.
• Communicate with vendors for quotes and lead times on mission-critical components.
• Interface with PHD engineers, technicians, logisticians and management.
• Write and present clear reports in English.
• Travel as required.
