Job summary

Render Security Engineering LLC in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii is seeking a Computer Security Systems Specialist to join the NAWC team aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii. You will be the on-site liaison for IT networking, system administration, and communications initiatives supporting operations and future mission requirements.

The role requires DoD standards, TS clearance, and DoD 8140/8570 certs, with hands-on work across Windows, Linux, virtualization, and network hardware.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years combined network and system administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols: OSPF, RIP, VRF, VLAN, MPLS, IP multicast, IP QoS, IPSec.
• Windows and Linux administration, patch management, and enterprise integration.
• Experience with enterprise-grade network hardware, virtualization platforms, and security frameworks.
• Vulnerability scanning and DISA STIG compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot IP networks with Cisco, Fortinet, and Juniper hardware.
• Administer Windows domains (OU, GPO, WSUS, AD maintenance).
• Manage Linux servers (patching, configuration, performance).
• Implement and maintain virtualization (vCenter, ESXi).
• Conduct vulnerability scanning with ACAS/Nessus and DISA STIG compliance.
• Lead technology refresh projects and lifecycle upgrades.
• Mentor and oversee subordinate technical personnel.
