Job summary

The GBS Group in Virginia Beach is seeking a Navigation Systems Technician (ET Tech) to support shipboard IC systems and naval programs at the Virginia Beach Engineering Office. The role requires formal ET training and an Active Secret clearance, with extensive hands-on work on IBNS, NAVSSI, TACAN, and inertial navigation systems.

You will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and technical oversight, provide on‑the‑job training to Ships Force, ensure compliance with standards, and contribute to

Qualifications

• Formal Electronic Technician training from a technical or U.S. Navy 'C' school and 6+ years of job-related experience.
• Minimum of 6 years experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting IBNS, IBS, S-IBS, NAVSSI, TACAN and inertial navigation systems.
• Three years recent hands-on experience on each listed system.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for shipboard IC Systems tasks including PIA, C5RA, TSRA, ICMP, INSURV programs and T/A events.
• Comply with engineering standards, plans, system specs and test procedures.
• Assist Ship's Force and government personnel to analyze and resolve malfunctions.
