Job summary

Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) is seeking a Project Manager to support our Natural Resources Environmental team in South Florida, overseeing environmental permitting, NEPA support, coastal and marine resource management, waterfront infrastructure, transport projects, and compliance for clients across Florida.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience and a degree in environmental disciplines; preferred credentials include PWS or AAUS Diver and extensive coordination with agencies

Qualifications

• Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Biology, Marine biology, or other degree relevant to Environmental Consulting.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience for Project Manager.

• Manage natural resources projects from proposal through completion.
• Prepare scopes of work, fee proposals, schedules, technical reports, and permit applications.
• Manage project budgets, invoicing, and project performance.
• Serve as a primary client contact and support agency coordination efforts.
• Work closely with the Environmental Principal in South Florida to support the scientific diving team and marine-focused operations.

Responsibilities

Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) is seeking a Project Manager to support our Natural Resources Environmental team and Environmental Principal in South Florida. This position focuses on environmental permitting, NEPA support, coastal and marine resource management, waterfront infrastructure, transportation projects, and environmental compliance for public and private sector clients throughout Florida.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage natural resources projects from proposal through completion.
• Prepare scopes of work, fee proposals, schedules, technical reports, and permit applications.
• Manage project budgets, invoicing, and project performance.
• Serve as a primary client contact and support agency coordination efforts.
• Work closely with the Environmental Principal in South Florida to support the scientific diving team and marine-focused operations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Biology, Marine biology, or other degree relevant to the practice of Environmental Consulting.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience for Project Manager.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS), American Academy of Underwater Sciences (AAUS) Scientific Diver
• FDOT PD&E process/project experience
• NEPA experience with Categorical Exclusions (CE), Environmental Assessments (EA), and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS)
• FEMA EHP coordination
• USFWS and NMFS coordination
• USACE permitting including 404 permitting
• FDEP permitting including CCCL permitting
• Water Management District permitting
• FWC coordination and permitting
• Existing South Florida agency and client relationships
• Ports, dredging, and coastal resiliency experience
• Assessment and delineation of benthic communities and aquatic vegetation
• Protected species monitoring
• GIS mapping and analyses
