Job summary

Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa is seeking a Natural Resources Education Intern for a school-year program at the Bayfield area hatchery and resource facilities. The intern will assist with fisheries, wildlife, and hatchery projects and coordinate with the Red Cliff Boys and Girls Club to deliver hands-on natural resource lessons to youth.

The role requires enrollment in school, being under 25, and willingness to engage in fieldwork and community outreach.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; general knowledge of natural resources helpful.
• Must be under 25 years old.
• Enrolled in school pursuing high school diploma, GED, college degree, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with fisheries, wildlife, and hatchery projects.
• Coordinate with Red Cliff Boys and Girls Club to plan youth natural-resource lessons and workshops.
• Enter data and assist with field activities as directed by wildlife staff.
• Support community outreach events and develop a focused area of interest to produce a written product.
