Job summary

Alignerr is seeking experienced natural resource conservation scientists to help evaluate AI systems trained on environmental science, land management, and conservation topics. This is a remote, task-based contract with flexible hours.

You will review AI-generated recommendations, assess conservation content across ecosystems, soil, water, and biodiversity, and provide structured feedback to improve AI outputs. This role suits self-motivated professionals working independently.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in natural resource conservation or environmental science.

AI is increasingly being used to inform environmental decision-making — and it needs to get things right. We're looking for experienced natural resource conservation scientists to help evaluate and improve AI systems trained on environmental science, land management, and conservation topics.

• Evaluate content covering land use, ecosystems, soil health, water systems, and biodiversity
• Assess whether AI outputs reflect real-world conservation practices and sound scientific reasoning
• Provide clear, structured feedback to improve the quality and reliability of AI-generated content
• Work independently and asynchronously — on your schedule, at your pace

Who You Are

• 3+ years of professional experience in natural resource conservation, environmental science, or a closely related field
• Strong working knowledge of ecosystems, land management principles, and conservation science
• Able to critically evaluate scientific reasoning and assess the accuracy of applied recommendations
• Detail-oriented with strong written communication skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on remote, task-based projects

• Master's degree or PhD in Natural Resources, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
