Position Summary

Now Hiring: Natural Gas Equipment MechanicLocation: Midland, Texas Position Summary--We are seeking a skilled and motivated Natural Gas Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Midland, Texas. --This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining natural gas-powered equipment and related systems. --The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience working with engines and heavy equipment, and the ability to safely perform repairs in both shop and field environments.--This role requires an individual who is dependable, safety-focused, and capable of working independently while providing exceptional support to customers and operations personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair natural gas engines, compressors, pumps, and related equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance services on natural gas-powered equipment and support systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, ignition, and emissions-related issues.
• Conduct inspections to identify equipment deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Respond to field service calls and perform repairs at customer locations.
• Test equipment following repairs to verify proper operation and performance.
• Complete work orders, maintenance reports, and inspection documentation accurately.
• Maintain service trucks, tools, and equipment in a clean and organized manner.
• Assist with equipment setup, commissioning, and operational testing.
• Support equipment deliveries, pickups, and transportation activities when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
• Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and team members regarding equipment status and repair recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a mechanic, diesel technician, equipment technician, field technician, or natural gas mechanic preferred but not required
• Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, industrial equipment, generators, compressors, or natural gas-powered units preferred
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and measuring devices
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to work overtime and occasional on-call schedules as business needs require
