Job summary

Wade Trim seeks a Natural Gas Engineer to join our ICE Team to advance infrastructure in our Southern offices. A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering is required, with 2–6 years of natural gas experience preferred.

Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills are essential, and a flexible hybrid-remote schedule is available after 30 days. Responsibilities include designing gas projects, site design, cost estimates, permit submittals, and client relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 2–6 years of Natural Gas experience required.
• Experience with AutoDesk Civil 3D is required.
• Engineer-in-Training License/Professional Engineer License preferred.
• Experience with GasCalc, Pipeline Toolbox, BoreAid or similar software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design natural gas projects including distribution mains, transmission pipelines, metering & regulating facilities, and launcher/receiver assemblies.
• Perform civil site design, trenchless installation design, utility conflict analysis, and traffic control plan design.
• Prepare design reports and construction plans using applicable standards.
• Coordinate preparation of specifications and permit submittals.
• Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities.
• Document design changes and communications.
• Conduct on-site observations as needed.
• Prepare project status and other reports.
• Assist in preparing proposals and support Project Managers.
• Attend client and staff meetings and training sessions.
• Maintain excellent client relations and a safe working environment.

Position Description:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering required
• 2-6 years of Natural Gas experience is required.
• Experience with AutoDesk Civil 3D is required.
• Engineer-in-Training License/Professional Engineer License is preferred.
• Experience with Engineering based programs (GasCalc, Pipeline Toolbox, BoreAid, and other similar engineering software) is preferred.
