Job summary

AIR Control Concepts is seeking a Traveling Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support data center projects nationwide. Based in Denver, CO, you will perform startup, commissioning, and service on complex HVAC systems while traveling across the U.S.

You will work with local operating companies, deliver high-quality service, and mentor junior technicians as needed. This role requires a valid driver's license, EPA Universal Certification, and strong field diagnostics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience with systems such as chillers, hydronic systems, VRF, RTUs, packaged equipment or mission-critical cooling systems preferred.
• EPA Universal Certification required; OEM-specific training or certifications preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with a professional, team-focused mindset.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in various field conditions, including rooftops and tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Service, Troubleshooting & Optimization – Diagnose and resolve issues on a variety of commercial HVAC systems. Perform preventative maintenance and fine-tune system performance for energy efficiency and reliability.
• Customer Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong client relationships by addressing service concerns, recommending improvements, and delivering high-quality communication and support.
• Communication & Documentation – Coordinate with internal teams to ensure efficient scheduling and follow-up. Accurately complete service reports, work orders, and related documentation in a timely manner.
• Training & Mentorship – Stay up to date through ongoing technical training. Serve as a resource and occasional mentor to junior technicians in the field.
