Job summary

Monarch Investment & Management Group is seeking a Traveling Maintenance Technician to join our National Traveling Crew based in St. Louis, MO. This full‑time role involves extensive travel across the country, performing repairs, unit turns, and property improvements.

You will work with a skilled team, enjoy consistent hours including overtime, and receive a $2,500 bonus after 90 days along with annual raises up to 5% and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of maintenance experience in apartments or related field.
• Experience with drywall repair, painting, and carpentry.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
• HVAC and water heater experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication and commitment to quality service.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance work orders based on priority.
• Perform unit turns and make-ready preparation.
• Interior and exterior painting and staining.
• General maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall).
• Assist with renovations, capital projects, major repairs.
• Support on-site maintenance teams.
• Complete special projects as needed.

Overview

Monarch Investment & Management Group is hiring a Traveling Maintenance Technician to join our National Traveling Crew based in St. Louis, MO

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, problem‑solving, and traveling across the country. You’ll support apartment communities that need extra help—working with a skilled team to complete repairs, unit turns, and property improvements.

Travel Schedule

• 3 weeks traveling - (50 - 75% in the St. Louis area, 25 - 50% out of state)
• 1 week off at home (12 weeks off + regular PTO)
• Assignments across 83,000+ units in 26 states

Compensation

• $24.00 – $28.00 per hour
• Bonus: $2,500 bonus after 90 days
• Consistent 50-hour work weeks (overtime available)
• $50/day per diem while traveling
• Annual raises up to 5%
