Job description

Overview

Willow Bridge is currently hiring an experienced National Transitions Accounting Coordinator. We seek an entrepreneurial-minded individual who enjoys building relationships with their team and customers.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transition Coordination:
    • Schedule and support transition calls with Regional and National teams.
    • Serve as the primary project manager for accounting onboarding of new properties, working closely with Regional Transitions Coordinators on due diligence and offboarding.
    • Complete Basecamp projects and roles for property transitions.
    • Track and ensure completion of all transition tasks in Basecamp across all accounting functions and departments.
    • Promote a thoughtful, engaging, and impactful culture during transitions.

Support:

  • Provide follow-up support, including onsite team virtual reviews.
  • Assist with Due Diligence as needed.
  • Stay updated on property management and accounting processes and policies within Willow Bridge Property Company.

System Conversion and Administration:

  • Request emails for new construction projects.
  • Complete Yardi system conversions for new constructions during transitions.
  • Advance accounting conversion files and improve modeling functions for future transitions.

Process Improvement:

  • Suggest enhancements to the property transition process.

Special Projects:

  • Lead and execute projects as assigned by the VP of Accounting Services.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve operational efficiency.

Specific Accounting Conversion Functions:

  • Management Change:
    • Manage manual entries for receivables, delinquencies, deposits, prepaids, and opening balances.
    • Set up bank accounts with required documentation.
    • Compile and manage data for conversions in an Accounting Report data room.
    • Coordinate with asset schedules to meet client start dates.
    • Manage full-cycle accounting for initial months, coordinating staffing as needed.

Sales and New Construction:

  • Manage manual entries, bank setups, data collection, and proration schedules for sales and construction projects.
Qualifications

Critical Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of property accounting experience, with in-depth knowledge of property management systems.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, Yardi, Entrata, OneSite.
  • Motivated self-starter, capable of working independently and in teams.
  • Excellent listening, problem-solving, and patience skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure project completion.
