Job Summary
The National Solutions Sales Director will serve as a strategic commercial leader responsible for driving business development efforts across the United States. This role is pivotal in achieving sales and profit goals while fostering a culture of sustainability and a circular economic approach to waste management through our VLSES solutions. The National Director will focusing on hunting for new business, leveraging relationships, and solving complex client challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:Execute on comprehensive go-to-market growth strategies aligned with company objectives.Champion a strategic vision that promotes growth, innovation, and creates value by partnering with other divisions at times to utilizing VLS Environmental Solutions broad services.Customer Engagement & Relationship Building:Lead efforts in new customer solicitation, bid preparation, and retention strategies.Foster strong relationships with top clients to understand their needs and demonstrate the benefits of the VLSES facility’s innovative approaches.Pricing Strategy Participation:Collaborate with site leadership to create pricing strategies that not only meet company objectives but also reflect the value of the division and the broad services.Market Awareness:Stay informed about market behavior and competitive trends to anticipate customer needs and proactively manage the customer base.Leverage insights to position the VLSES services as a leader in the Rail Industry.Service Knowledge:Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s services, business lines, and pricing structures to assist in complex selling situations, ensuring alignment with sustainability goals.Client Service Agreements Review:- Review and negotiate complex Client Service Agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that support the company's long-term sustainability strategy.
- Additional Duties:
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Requirements
Education:Bachelor’s degree preferred.Experience:Minimum of 10 years of sales experience in a complex and highly regulated.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the rail industry preferredKnowledge:In-depth understanding of FRA and AAR regulations, railcar repair and various types of railcar cleaning services relating to sales is strongly preferred.Hunter Mentality:A relentless drive to find, pursue, and win new business.Account selling experience and proven track record of excellence.Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software and data analytics tools.Decision-Making Skills:Strong problem resolution, creative thinking, and decision-making capabilities.Communication Skills:Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.Time Management:- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
