Job summary

Core One is seeking a data science and operations research expert to provide analysis capabilities on-site for a Combatant Command division. You will design and apply data collection, analytics methods, and build automation and visualization tools using R and Python to accelerate staff tasks.

The role requires 5–12 years of DS/OR experience, a Master’s degree, and an active TS/SCI clearance. You will work with MAVEN, C2IE, and Advana within a fast-paced, mission-focused environment in Tampa, FL.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related technical field (e.g., OR, data science, math, engineering, CS).
• 5–12 years of combined DS/OR experience, with at least 5 years at a Combatant Command staff or equivalent.
• Proficiency with R, R-Shiny, Python, Python-Shiny, SQL/PostgreSQL, MS Office, and SharePoint.
• Knowledge of MAVEN Smart Systems, C2IE, Advana, AI, ML, Git, and Large Language Models.
• Active TS/SCI clearance is required; security investigation and eligibility for classified info.

Responsibilities

• Provide DS and OR capabilities on-site for a Combatant Command division.
• Design, develop, and apply data collection and analytics methods.
• Develop automated apps, data visualizations, decision briefs, and analytic papers.
• Integrate division products into C2IE, MAVEN, and Advana.
• Build digital solutions using R and Python to automate data tasks.
• Lead small teams in real-time/near real-time visualization and analytics.
• Support Joint planning and knowledge management requirements.
