Job summary

System Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks a National Security Compliance Analyst to support DoW’s input into CFIUS and Team Telecom processes. You will help develop risk-mitigation options and monitor mitigation agreements, including travel as needed.

The role requires a JD and a 12+ year background with 5+ years in compliance, plus an active TS/SCI clearance, and it is onsite at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Juris Doctor degree and Bachelor's in Business, Finance, Economics, or National Security.

Responsibilities

The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

The Industry and Security Analysis Group (ISAG) within JOID provides analytical, technical, and program support to promote, grow, and protect the U.S. industrial base. ISAG’s support spans the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Commerce, and other agencies to deliver critical decision support to national security leaders. Our team informs policy decisions, enables execution of comprehensive strategies and monitors and reports on the effectiveness of implementation. This enables senior leaders to execute strategies for developing and sustaining a robust industrial base that meets our nation’s strategic resource objectives. From policy to practice, we are a team of economic and national security professionals providing innovative solutions for our Nation’s most pressing security challenges.

We have an immediate need for a National Security Compliance Analyst to provide onsite support at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA.

Responsibilities

The National Security Compliance Analyst will support DoW’s input into both the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and Team Telecom processes. The candidate will support DoW’s Office of Global Investment and Economic Security in the development of risk mitigation options and the monitoring and compliance of CFIUS mitigation agreements. The candidate will support the review of mitigation compliance, which may involve domestic and international travel. The candidate will develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the mitigation of foreign investment risk in the areas of product integrity, supply assurance, collocation, and technology transfer.

Expected travel up to ~20%.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Juris Doctor degree, and Bachelor's degree in the areas of Business, Finance, Economics, or National Security.
  • 12+ years of total experience with 5+ years in matters involving compliance and monitoring.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Able to work fully onsite based on client needs.

Desired:

  • Experience in technology transfer, intellectual property ownership, product integrity, and supply assurance.
  • Master's degree in the areas of Business, Finance, Economics, or National Security.
  • Military, Technology, or National Security law background.
Pay Range Information

Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Virginia, Pay Transparency Salary range: USD $145,000.00/Yr. - USD $185,000.00/Yr.
