Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Washington, DC seeks a mid-level National Security Associate to join its regulatory practice. The successful candidate will represent clients on OFAC, ITAR, EAR, CFIUS matters and coordinate with federal agencies.

You will conduct research, draft memoranda, support investigations, and assist with crisis management and litigation in federal court, requiring strong writing, analytical skills, and an active TS/SCI clearance preferred.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in national security.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with OFAC, FCPA, ITAR/EAR, CFIUS, AML is a plus.
  • Excellent research and writing skills; ability to manage sensitive matters.

Job Overview

Duties


  • Represent corporate and individual clients in national security regulatory matters, including OFAC sanctions, ITAR, EAR, FCPA, CFIUS, and AML.

  • Support internal investigations and corporate risk assessments, developing and implementing compliance programs.

  • Prepare clients for interactions with federal agencies such as the Departments of Justice, State, Commerce, Treasury, Defense, and Homeland Security.

  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, briefs, and other work products related to national security and international law.

  • Assist with crisis management and incident response, including geopolitical risk analysis and remediation strategies.

  • Support litigation and appellate matters in federal court involving criminal and national security issues.


Requirements


  • 3 to 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably within a national security division or federal agency.

  • Familiarity with national security regulatory frameworks such as OFAC sanctions, FCPA, ITAR/EAR, CFIUS, or AML.

  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills with the ability to handle complex, sensitive matters.

  • Active security clearance, particularly at the TS/SCI level, strongly preferred.

  • Foreign language proficiency is a plus.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.


Education


  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
