Job summary

The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) seeks a Full-Time Acquisition Program Manager (GS-1101-14) to work in the National Capital Region (NCR), Langley AFB, VA, or Tampa, FL. The position involves developing acquisition strategies, managing contracts, and overseeing cost/schedule/performance to deliver critical capability to the warfighter.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance.
• Selectee must be a member of an Acquisition Corps at the time of appointment.
• Selectee must execute, as a condition of appointment, a written agreement to remain in Federal Service in this position for at least three years.
• Employee must meet, or be capable of meeting, DAWIA requirements applicable to the position.
• Incumbent will file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and annually.
• This is a drug testing designated position; subject to random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Supports management of a portfolio of projects/programs throughout the acquisition cycle, including multi-year efforts with large budgets.
• Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates activities of contracting, engineering, program control, test, and logistics teams.
• Leads a team of acquisition professionals (civilian and support contractors).
• Represents the organization to Congressional staffers and senior industry representatives, sharing programmatic and budget information.
