What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Generate conference business through personal visits and calls to companies and associations in designated markets
- Book meetings, conferences, and social events while maintaining old account files and soliciting new accounts
- Dedicate a majority of time to direct telephone sales and follow up on correspondence from assigned areas
- Attend trade shows and industry functions to promote the resort and maintain contact with corporate planners
- Provide general office support and maintain working relationships with departments involved with convention groups
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Preferred 3-5 years of sales experience in group sales at a 3 or 4 Diamond resort with a proven track record
- High school diploma or equivalent; minimum of 2 years of college preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work with computer programs such as Word and Excel
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
