Job summary

CAE Simuflite seeks a National Sales Leader - East to build and manage an outside sales team focused on business aviation pilot training programs. You will drive new business, hit revenue targets, and maintain a robust pipeline across assigned territories.

The role requires strong executive relationships, data-driven decisions, and deep knowledge of the business aviation market. Travel up to 50% is expected to support both outside and inside sales teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in business aviation sales.
  • Experience managing large, multi-million-dollar books of business.
  • Experience engaging executive-level stakeholders, including C-suite leaders.
  • Knowledge of forecasting, pricing analysis, and data-driven decision making.
  • Strong presentation, communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

Description

The National Sales Leader - East reports to the Head of Sales - USA and is responsible for leading and developing an outside sales team focused on business aviation pilot training programs across assigned territories. This role is accountable for driving new business generation, achieving revenue objectives, developing a qualified sales pipeline, and ensuring effective sales execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Head of Sales - USA to establish team goals, performance expectations, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Drive achievement of sales revenue objectives and established sales quotas.
  • Lead, coach, and develop sales team members to support performance and professional growth.
  • Monitor and evaluate individual and team performance on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Provide regular reporting on pipeline development, sales activity, and revenue performance through Salesforce.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and prospects to support business growth objectives.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of business aviation industry trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive market conditions.
  • Optimize territory coverage and sales scheduling to maximize customer engagement opportunities.
  • Support outside and inside sales teams with customer service and account-related matters as needed.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in business aviation sales.
  • Demonstrated success managing large, multi-million-dollar books of business.
  • Experience engaging and building relationships with executive-level stakeholders, including C-suite leaders.
  • Knowledge of financial management concepts, forecasting, pricing analysis, and data-driven decision making.
  • Strong presentation, communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and other business software tools.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret sales data to support business decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive business environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and organizational needs.
  • Strong understanding of CAE products, organizational structure, and the business aviation industry.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. government contracting procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Aviation Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to travel 50%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with project management methodologies, including Agile or Waterfall.
  • Experience with quality management methodologies such as Six Sigma.
  • Proficiency in a second language.
  • Private Pilot License.
