POSITION SUMMARY
The National Sales Director, Immunology is a critical field leadership role responsible for leading a national team of Regional Directors to drive commercial execution for GI and Immunology products across the United States. This leader will translate national brand and commercial priorities into disciplined regional execution, ensuring the field organization is focused on the highest-impact customers, markets, and activities.
BUSINESS JUSTIFICATION
The National Sales Director, Immunology role creates a dedicated national field execution leader for Celltrion’s immunology business as this products continue to require disciplined pull-through across regions, customers, and cross-functional priorities. This role provides leadership leverage for the VP of Sales by ensuring Regional Directors receive consistent coaching, clear performance expectations, rigorous business review discipline, and timely support in addressing regional opportunities and execution gaps. Without this role, the organization risks inconsistent regional execution, delayed response to market challenges, variable coaching quality, and reduced momentum behind key commercial priorities. This is especially critical as we pivot, evolve and grow with our customers and the changing market moving forward.
The successful candidate will reinforce a high-performance, accountable, and values-based culture while ensuring consistent adoption of the approved selling model, strong coaching discipline, effective field time, and rigorous business planning. The role requires a leader who can coach the coaches, strengthen regional execution through field coaching reports, conduct impactful quarterly business reviews, and develop trusted relationships with key external customers and internal cross-functional partners.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, develop, and inspire a national team of Regional Directors responsible for field execution across the immunology products, ensuring alignment to national immunology strategy, brand priorities, and company objectives.
- Drive strategic priorities by translating national plans into clear regional actions, expectations, performance metrics, and accountability routines that improve execution quality and business outcomes.
- Prioritize field time with Regional Directors and their teams to assess execution, identify market opportunities, reinforce expectations, and ensure resources are focused on the highest-impact customers and geographies.
- Reinforce and role-model Celltrion’s culture by fostering accountability, collaboration, compliance, customer focus, inclusion, urgency, and a performance mindset across the national field leadership team.
- Ensure consistent utilization of the approved selling model, including effective pre-call planning, customer engagement, objection handling, resource pull-through, post-call analysis, and follow-up discipline.
- Coach the coaches by observing Regional Directors in the field, reviewing and strengthening Field Coaching Reports, and improving the quality, consistency, and impact of coaching conversations with front-line leaders and representatives.
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with Regional Directors to evaluate performance against goals, identify regional trends and gaps, assess execution quality, and align on corrective actions, growth opportunities, and resource needs.
- Develop and maintain key relationships with priority external stakeholders, including targeted healthcare professionals, large group practices, health systems, integrated delivery networks, specialty pharmacies, and other influential customers within immunology.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Market Access, Training, Sales Operations, Commercial Analytics, Medical Affairs, and other cross-functional teams to ensure field insights inform strategy and that national initiatives are executed effectively in the field.
- Analyze performance dashboards, market data, CRM activity, field feedback, and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities, risks, and execution gaps, and to guide timely business decisions.
- Lead disciplined communication with the national field leadership team, ensuring clarity on priorities, launch execution, performance expectations, customer strategy, compliance requirements, and key business updates.
- This role reports to the VP of Immunology & Rheumatology Sales
- Build leadership capability and succession strength by developing Regional Directors, identifying talent, addressing performance gaps, and creating a consistent leadership standard across the national immunology organization.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards governing the promotion of pharmaceutical and biologic products.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 12–15 years of progressive commercial experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, specialty, biologics, or biosimilars industry with a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing regional sales leaders, district managers, or other field-based commercial leaders across multiple geographies. National Sales leadership preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading high-performing field teams, driving execution through leaders, and delivering sales results in a competitive specialty care environment.
- Experience in immunology, gastroenterology, rheumatology, biologics, or biosimilars is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience translating national strategy into regional execution plans, conducting business reviews, and using performance data to identify risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
- Strong field coaching experience, including coaching sales leaders, reviewing field coaching documentation, and improving leadership effectiveness through observation and feedback.
- Experience building relationships with key customers and stakeholders in complex specialty markets, including healthcare professionals, large practices, health systems, specialty pharmacies, and other market influencers.
- National Field travel is required

- High integrity and strong compliance orientation, with sound judgment and the ability to operate within applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
EDUCATION
- Undergraduate degree in business, life sciences or a related discipline is required.
- An MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is preferred.
