Our innovative solutions empower healthcare facilities to streamline workflows, enhance patient safety, improve regulatory compliance, and optimize costs associated with surgical supplies.

About this opportunity: Are you a proven sales hunter with deep connections in the healthcare provider market? Do you thrive in a commission-driven environment with expertise in medical device and biologic management, including regulatory compliance? If so, this high-growth opportunity at Xcelrate UDI is for you!

We are seeking a highly motivated National Sales Director to drive the adoption of our innovative IFUVitals product within hospitals and surgery centers across the U.S. and Canada. This commission-only, contract-to-hire role requires a strong existing network in healthcare provider settings and a deep understanding of medical device and biologic management, instructions for use (IFU) protocols, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development & Prospecting: Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities by leveraging your established network within hospitals, Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs), and other healthcare provider settings. Aggressively hunt for new clients through targeted outreach, cold calling, and networking.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Build, manage, and accelerate a robust sales pipeline from initial contact through closing using HubSpot CRM.
  • Consultative Selling & Presentations: Conduct compelling presentations, demos, and webinars to clearly articulate the value proposition of Xcelrate UDI's solutions to prospective clients.
  • Sales Navigation & Negotiation: Skillfully manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders (Surgical Services, Sterile Processing, Risk & Compliance, IT, Supply Chain, C-suite, etc.), leading contract negotiations to secure new business.
  • Market Insight: Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes (IFU compliance, Promoting Interoperability, Medical Device Management, etc.), and competitor activities to inform sales strategies.
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed ambitious sales quotas and transition new customers to appropriate Account Managers for onboarding.
Required Qualifications
  • Existing Healthcare Network: Demonstrated ability to leverage a strong, established network of relationships within healthcare (hospitals, surgery centers, etc.) to rapidly generate qualified leads and secure initial meetings.
  • Proven Sales Hunter & Closer: 5+ years of successful experience selling SaaS or digital solutions with a strong track record of closing deals.
  • Healthcare Provider Sales Expertise: 5+ years experience successfully selling technology solutions directly to hospitals, ASCs, or similar surgical settings, engaging effectively with diverse leadership roles (Surgical Services, Sterile Processing, Risk & Compliance, IT, Supply Chain, C-suite, etc.).
  • Regulatory & Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of medical device and biologic management processes and pain points in surgical environments, coupled with strong knowledge of relevant regulatory compliance (e.g., UDI, Promoting Interoperability, recall/expired item management, IFU compliance, etc.).
  • Sales Acumen: Demonstrated experience managing complex sales cycles and negotiating win-win agreements.
  • Self-Starter & Communication: Highly motivated, disciplined, and capable of working independently in a remote environment with excellent time management, organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills (including active listening, assertiveness, persistence, and persuasion).
  • CRM Proficiency: Intermediate computer skills and experience using CRM software (HubSpot preferred) for pipeline management and detailed record-keeping.
  • Integrity: Committed to a high standard of integrity and strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a startup or small company environment, demonstrating agility and resourcefulness.
  • Specific sales or related experience supporting Operating Room, Sterile Processing, or Supply Chain departments.
  • Track record of driving accelerated new business growth in previous roles.
Compensation & Structure
  • Term: Contract-to-Hire (conversion based on consistent performance and sales achievements)
  • Compensation: 100% Commission-Only
  • Commission Rate: Up to 15% of total contract value (Uncapped)
  • Expected Annual Commissions: $150,000 - $200,000+ (based on successful performance)
  • Travel: Not required for this role.
  • Benefits: Specific benefits package to be discussed upon conversion to full-time employee status.

  • Unlimited Earning Potential: Aggressive, uncapped commission structure (up to 15% of total contract value).
  • Path to Permanent Employment: Clear opportunity for conversion to a full-time employee based on consistent performance and sales targets.
  • High-Impact Role: Work in a fast-paced, startup environment where your contributions directly influence company growth and healthcare safety.
  • Industry Expertise: Position yourself as a leader in the critical and evolving space of medical device/biologic UDI and regulatory compliance.
  • Flexibility: Enjoy the freedom and flexibility of a fully remote position.
