Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a National Sales Director at EnSoil Algae. The National Sales Director will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, managing a national sales team, building and maintaining client relationships, and achieving sales targets. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to drive revenue growth and expand market presence.
- Lead, coach, and inspire an existing team of regional sales directors and managers to achieve and exceed sales targets while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence, while also hiring new sales managers.
- Own and optimize our sales CRM (HubSpot) to drive visibility, pipeline discipline, and actionable insights.
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives and agriculture market opportunities.
- Set and monitor KPIs to meet quarterly and annual revenue targets as well as develop and implement sales incentive plans (SIP) for sales team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, grower support, and agronomist to align messaging, customer experience, and go-to-market strategies.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, retailers, and producers across key markets to drive business growth and customer loyalty.
- Prepare and present detailed sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics to executive leadership ensuring transparency and alignment on results and expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 4 years in a leadership or team management role in ag sales.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent)—able to drive adoption and analytics.
- Proven ability to build, coach, and manage a high-performing sales team.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic sales plans that have led to significant revenue growth.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with a proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-starter mindset with comfort working in a fast-paced, early-stage company environment.
- Agriculture sales experience required and familiarity with its unique challenges and opportunities (e.g., agronomy, input sales, ag retail, or regenerative farming systems).
