Overview of the Role
  • Responsibility: Oversee sales management within a designated territory or nationally, depending on client partnerships. Cultivate relationships with key account personnel, provide strategic marketing and retail advice, and represent your accounts at industry events.
  • Goals: Meet or exceed client KPIs, deliver budgeted revenue, manage expenses, and identify growth opportunities. Develop and present sales presentations, secure client-approved schematics, and support claims and trade deal management.
  • Location: Fully remote; if local to Chicago, IL, a hybrid schedule (2-3 days in-office).
  • Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 based on experience and skills.
  • Travel: Less than 10%, including national trade shows and client meetings.
What You’ll Do at C.A. Fortune
  • Manage sales nationally depending on client partnerships.
  • Build relationships with account personnel across various functions.
  • Advise clients on account goals, marketing, and retail execution.
  • Achieve revenue targets while controlling expenses.
  • Identify new growth opportunities such as expanded distribution or promotional activities.
  • Exceed client KPIs related to sales, distribution, pricing, and promotional efforts.
  • Develop and deliver impactful sales presentations using syndicated data.
  • Secure client-approved schematics and support claims and trade deals management.
What You Should Bring to the Table
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred.
  • 3+ years of CPG experience.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret data from sources like SPINS, Nielsen, IRI.
  • Proven relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
