Saint Joseph Hospital - Lexington is recruiting for a National Nurse Resident to join the November cohort. This program offers mentorship, feedback, and a supportive team focused on your long-term nursing career.

You will work with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to provide individualized patient care, including administering treatments, tracking vitals, and educating patients and families. A structured Nurse Residency Program will support your growth from day one.

Qualifications

• ASN and 0–12 months of professional nursing experience upon hire.
• Registered Nurse license in KY upon hire.
• BLS/CPR certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer treatments and monitor patient vitals.
• Educate patients and families about care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.

As a National Nurse Resident, you’ll step into a hands‑on, supportive experience designed to help you grow and build confidence from day one. You won’t be on your own. You can expect real mentorship, meaningful feedback, and a team invested in your long‑term success.

Every day, you’ll collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to deliver care that sees each patient as an individual. You’ll administer treatments, track vitals, educate patients and families, and play a key role in making sure people feel seen, heard, and cared for.

To succeed in this role, you’ll actively engage in our comprehensive, evidence‑based Nurse Residency Program designed to support your growth and professional development. With a strong drive to learn and a team‑first mindset, you’ll continue sharpening your skills while building a meaningful, fulfilling nursing career.

• Evidence-based Practice (EBP) and Patient Care: Builds skills to utilize current evidence based practice knowledge, the nursing process, critical thinking and problem solving skills to provide holistic care to individuals across the lifespan and care continuum.
