Job summary

Core & Main, based in St. Louis with nationwide reach, seeks a Purchasing Operations Manager to oversee national purchasing, analyze vendor consolidation, and drive best practices across sourcing teams.

You will monitor staff, maintain policies, and ensure accurate pricing while optimizing inventory control in a growing national footprint. Occasional travel is expected as part of leadership duties.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a related discipline with 7+ years of experience preferred.
• Advanced degree may offset less field experience in some disciplines.
• Certification in a purchasing or supply chain area is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes vendor consolidation for purchasing and makes recommendations.
• Conducts ongoing training and consultation for staff.
• Develops and enforces purchasing policies and procedures.
• Performs overall analysis of purchasing effectiveness.
• Manages inventory control and hiring, training, and performance of associates.
