National Programs and Policy Support Staff Officer II

JMark Services, Inc. is seeking a highly capable and mission-driven National Programs and Policy Support Staff Officer II to support the National Programs and Policy Directorate within the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Intelligence and Security (OUSW(I&S)).

This role supports senior Department of War leadership by providing strategic analysis, policy development support, oversight coordination, and operational integration related to sensitive activities and national security priorities. The ideal candidate will possess experience supporting sensitive programs, mission integration efforts, and policy initiatives within the Department of War or Intelligence Community.

The selected candidate will operate in a dynamic, high-visibility environment supporting senior leaders on matters critical to national security, interagency coordination, and sensitive operational activities.

Key Responsibilities
Analysis & Strategic Support
  • Provide analysis of intelligence-related activities aligned with the National War Strategy and priorities established by the Secretary of War and the Under Secretary of War for Intelligence & Security (USW(I&S)).
  • Conduct research and develop policy recommendations to support senior leadership decision-making related to National Security Council-directed requirements and national security initiatives.
  • Analyze operational, policy, and strategic issues impacting sensitive activities and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
Oversight & Governance
  • Support leadership oversight and governance activities, including staff assistance visits (SAVs), compliance inspections, and operational assessments.
  • Assist with evaluating Department of War Component activities providing sensitive support to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, policy guidance, and operational effectiveness standards.
  • Support the preparation of oversight documentation, findings, recommendations, and corrective action tracking.
Coordination & Operational Integration
  • Research, coordinate, and synchronize special access capabilities and sensitive activities across the Department of War, Intelligence Community, and broader federal interagency enterprise.
  • Support collaboration efforts that improve operational integration, mission alignment, and information sharing between organizations and stakeholders.
  • Assist with coordinating sensitive initiatives and cross-functional activities in support of national security objectives.
Reporting & Executive Support
  • Prepare executive-level reports, briefings, correspondence, talking points, and staff action packages in support of OUSW(I&S) requirements.
  • Develop concise and accurate written products for senior government officials and leadership engagements.
  • Support time-sensitive taskings and senior leader inquiries with professionalism and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting sensitive activities and national security requirements within the Department of War or Intelligence Community.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a high-stakes, mission-focused environment while managing multiple competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting mission integration efforts on military, joint, or interagency staffs.
  • Familiarity with sensitive activities oversight, special access programs, and national security policy coordination.
  • Experience preparing executive correspondence, reports, and briefing materials for senior leadership.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in fast-paced operational environments.
  • Knowledge of interagency coordination processes and Intelligence Community operations preferred.
