Qualifications

• 4 year degree.
• 12 years of professional experience.
• CPA, Law License/JD, or EA required.
• JD, L.L.M. (Taxation), or CPA required; (LLM or MST preferred).
• Demonstrated strong tax technical, research (code, regulations and case law), analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting technical memoranda and tax analyses.

Responsibilities

• Outreach and engagement with professionals in the tax service line is a high priority.
• Conduct in-depth technical research and analysis of complex partnership tax matters and lead consultations with other professionals on such matters.
• Research and interpret statutes, regulations, administrative guidance, case law, and other authoritative sources to develop technically sound positions and practical recommendations.
• Monitor and evaluate new and proposed tax legislation, regulations, administrative guidance, and judicial decisions, and assess their potential impact on clients and the firm’s tax practice.
• Serve as a national technical resource, collaborating with practice leaders, subject‑matter specialists, and client‑facing teams to provide guidance on partnership tax matters that are complex, significant, or material in nature.
