Job description

Role: National Intervention Coach

Role Mission

The National Intervention Coach will oversee Intervention and Response to Intervention (RtI - MTSS) Programming for IDEA Public Schools to ensure maximum student achievement and to close the achievement gap for critical students by designing, training, and coaching the implementation of processes. The Coach will oversee the design, processes, training, coaching, and implementation of the Critical Student Intervention (CSI) program across the district in coordination with the National Institute for Direct Instruction (NIFDI) partnership.

Location

This is a full-time position based in Texas, with a preference for candidates residing in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or those willing to relocate.

Travel

This position involves approximately 50% travel across IDEA regions. Preference is given to candidates who live in one of IDEA's Texas regions or are willing to relocate.

What You’ll Do – Accountabilities
Essential Duties
  1. Designing professional development programs.
  2. Delivering high-quality professional development sessions.
  3. Exhibiting strong communication skills across various modes.
  4. Coordinating with multiple groups of people.
  5. Collaborating and designing processes within a team setting.
  6. Partnering and communicating with multiple business partners.
  7. Coaching and developing leaders and teachers.
  8. Ensuring successful implementation of CSI, aiming for 50% of CSI students to grow 2.0 years in Reading and 60% in Math or be on grade level by year-end.
  9. Ensuring successful implementation of RtI or MTSS system district-wide.
  10. Maintaining successful collaboration with NIFDI.
  11. Working with regional CSI leads and course leaders on Interventionist PD scope and sequence.
What You Bring – Competencies
Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
  • 1-3 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 and other relevant technologies.
  • 3+ years of experience preferred.
What We Offer
Compensation & Benefits

Salary ranges from $81,800 to $95,800, depending on experience and qualifications, aligned with internal equity. The role is eligible for performance pay based on organizational goals.
