Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a National Insite QA/QC Manager to ensure compliance with regional standards and to oversee quality control across sites. This role emphasizes safety, process standardization, and risk mitigation while aligning incentives for talent retention due to extensive travel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of hazardous waste experience.
• Ability to develop training materials related to environmental health and safety and hazardous materials management.
• Familiarity with federal/state regulatory requirements for Small and Large Quantity Generators.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies and always acting in a safe manner.
• Establish baseline audit protocols for new waste programs and document compliance parameters for each project location.
• Collaborate with Ops Manager, Site Lead, Branch Manager, and other resources to track corrective actions and share Lessons Learned.
• Perform site evaluations (Site General Assessments) and compliance checks using MS Forms.
• Visit and assess top 5 customers per region.
• Review and update site SharePoint content, ensuring JHAs, SOPs, Ops Manual, and HASP information are current.
• Conduct monthly Best in Class in-person assessments.
• Support implementations, startups, and onboarding of new hires.
• Provide coverage for LOA, terminations, and PTO, ensuring proper waste packaging, profiling, and labeling prior to shipment.
