National General Adjuster (Remote in CA, WA, OR, AK or HI)

Position Overview: As an adjuster at Sedgwick, you’ll have the opportunity to take on new challenges and help solve complex problems. You will handle losses or claims nationally, regardless of size, including complex adjustments for medium-sized and relatively complex National Accounts. Experience with property adjusting and estimate writing in Xactimate is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Examine insurance policies, claims, and records to determine coverage.
• Administer and reconcile complex catastrophic property claims.
• Interview claimants and witnesses, inspect property damage, and determine liability.
• Estimate repair, replacement, or compensation costs.
• Prepare reports, negotiate settlements, and advise on litigation when necessary.
• Maintain reserves, prepare loss experience reports, and interact with excess carriers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred; active pursuit of professional insurance designations such as IIA-AIC.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Proficiency in Xactimate required; Symbility experience a plus.
• Strong communication, customer service, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

This role is remote, with travel required. Must reside in CA, WA, OR, AK, or HI. Physical ability to perform tasks such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and driving up to 4 hours per day is necessary.

Additional Information:
