Position Overview

Minimum Requirements

Ideal Candidate

If you have 5+ years of experience in public entity claims pertaining to Employment Practice Liability (EPL) and (CSA) and would like to join one of the premier teams in the industry, we are looking for someone with your level of expertise.

Responsibilities
  • Examine insurance policies, claims, and other records to determine insurance coverage.
  • Administer and reconcile complex catastrophic claims for property.
  • Interview, correspond with claimants and witnesses regarding claims.
  • Consult police and hospital records; inspect property damage to determine liability and investigation methods.
  • Estimate costs of repair, replacement, or compensation.
  • Prepare reports and negotiate settlements with claimants.
  • Recommends litigation when settlement is not possible.
  • Attend litigation hearings.
  • Revise case reserves to cover probable costs.
  • Prepare loss experience reports and calculate future rates.
  • Interact with excess carriers regarding coverages and reimbursements.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Travel as required.
Qualifications
Education & Licensing

Bachelor's degree preferred; must have IIA-AIC designation and be pursuing additional professional insurance designations.

Experience

At least 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team
Work Environment

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $95,000 - $140,000 USD annually, plus commission. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k with match, PTO, disability, life insurance, EAP, FSA/HSA, and voluntary benefits.
