National Gender Equality Trainer & Policy Consultant

Job summary

UN Women Georgia seeks national consultants/trainers to develop or adapt training modules on gender equality and women’s empowerment, and to deliver trainings across Georgia and online. The role includes assessments, report writing, and policy guidance to strengthen national programs.

The assignment is home-based with potential travel to regions of Georgia (up to 20 trips). Requires Master’s in a relevant field, 5+ years of experience, and fluency in Georgian and English.

Qualifications

• Master’s in gender/women’s studies, human rights, sociology, law, international development or related field.
• Fluency in Georgian and good knowledge of English.
• At least five years of relevant professional experience in gender equality and women’s rights.
• Experience delivering trainings on gender issues to government officials, civil society, private sector, or grassroots communities.
• Experience developing training manuals, modules and programmes.
• Knowledge of interactive learning methods and adult-learning techniques.

Responsibilities

• Learn and adapt existing UN Women training modules on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment issues.
• Design new or adapt training modules/sessions for different target groups in consultation with UN Women staff.
• Conduct trainings across Georgia and online.
• Develop training needs assessment questionnaires and conduct assessments.
• Develop detailed agenda and modules, presentations and training materials.
• Design and carry out pre- and post-training assessments to measure outcomes.
• Draft and submit final training reports with recommendations for follow-up actions.
• Review policies and synthesize knowledge to inform policy and programming.
