Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam in Nashville, TN is hiring a National Float Pilot to provide medical air transportation services. The role focuses on safety, flight planning, and coordination with EMS partners to ensure timely patient transport.

The position offers a salary range of 102,073 to 107,399 dollars with a 15% geo modifier, a $12K float stipend, a $15K sign-on bonus, and retention bonuses up to $40,000 after three years. Schedule is 14 days on / 14 days off.

Qualifications

• 2000 hours total flight time required.
• 1500 hours helicopter time required.
• 1000 hours pilot in command required.
• 500 hours turbine required.
• Minimum 200 hours night flying.
• HEMS experience preferred.
• 1 year with any GMR Air company preferred.
• FAA Commercial Rotorcraft-Helicopter certificate required.
• FAA Helicopter instrument rating required.

Responsibilities

• Creates pilot information guide for flight planning and procedures.
• Conducts local area orientation as required.
• Keeps flight planning information up to date and informs Regional Director.
• Operates aircraft safely with compliance to rotorcraft manuals and regs.
• Monitors weather and forecasts for flight operations.
• Performs preflight inspection and logs any discrepancies.
• Reports major malfunctions or damage promptly to Operations Center.
• Ensures compliance with FARs and company manuals during flights.
• Completes paperwork neatly and timely; supports hanger and crew duties.

Safety is a key pillar of our services.**Incentives**:* Salary range **$102,073 - $107,399**including 15% Geo Modifier* $12K Float stipend* $15K Sign on Bonus, subject to eligibility* Retention Bonus plans ($40,000 after 3 years plus additional retention bonuses once completed)* On Duty Housing* Schedule 14 Days On and 14 Days Off* Hourly position (any hours over 40 in a pay week is over time) **Responsibilities*** Creates pilot information guide to include location, frequencies, and procedures to be used, when flying into hospitals and other EMS agencies.* Conducts local area orientation as required.* Informs the Regional Director of Flight Operations anytime the necessary information for flight planning is not available or up-to date.* Operates the aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, with emphasis on compliance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual* Monitors forecast changes and current weather situations* Conducts preflight of the aircraft prior to starting shift and/or accepting any transports or flights. Preflight will be conducted utilizing the appropriate rotorcraft flight manual.
