Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen LLP (CLA) seeks a Financial Services Tax Principal to lead a nationwide tax team within CLA’s Financial Services practice. You will shape priorities, drive technical quality, and expand client services across markets while mentoring a 20-person team of professionals.

You will guide advisory, consultation, and compliance work for banks, insurers, investment funds, and related entities, leveraging deep ASC 740 and tax knowledge to grow the practice nationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, taxation, or a related field.
• Current CPA required; JD or EA may be accepted in lieu of CPA.
• 10+ years of public accounting or professional services tax experience.
• Deep understanding of tax issues affecting banks, insurance companies, investment funds, and specialty finance entities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a national financial services tax team delivering advisory, consulting, and compliance services.
• Grow the financial services tax practice nationally and align priorities across markets.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and accountability for a high-performing team.
