Job summary

CLA is seeking a Financial Services Tax Principal to lead a national team of tax professionals across advisory, consulting, and compliance services. You will shape priorities, ensure delivery quality, and drive growth in the financial services tax practice.

You will mentor geographically dispersed staff, maintain client relationships, and identify opportunities while guiding strategic execution and risk management across markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA certification is required; JD or EA may be accepted in lieu of CPA.
• 10+ years of public accounting or professional services tax experience.
• Deep understanding of tax issues affecting banks, insurance companies, investment funds, and specialty finance entities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a national financial services tax team delivering advisory, consulting, and compliance services.
• Grow the financial services tax practice nationally and align priorities across markets.
• Set expectations, coach, and build a high-performing, collaborative team with clear accountability.
• Manage workforce deployment and capacity planning across the national practice.
