Job summary

Lavner Education, just outside of Philadelphia, seeks interns to work in-person at our headquarters in Plymouth Meeting, PA, to grow IT, tech, and leadership skills this spring and summer. The role is paid and requires commuting to our headquarters.

Flexible spring hours with a transition to full-time-ish summer hours (35–40 per week). Your work will include supporting a fast-growing EdTech company that delivers camps, classes, and online tutoring.

Qualifications

• STEM background in science, technology, engineering, or math.
• Prior experience working with kids or teens is recommended.
• Willingness to perform all duties with enthusiasm and a positive outlook.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.
• Candidates must demonstrate leadership and ability to communicate clearly; clearance requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in topics taught at summer camps, including 3D Printing, 3D printer operation/troubleshooting, Roblox, Lua Coding, and more.
• Assist with setup and maintenance of on-site computer hardware and software and other tech equipment.
• Provide ongoing troubleshooting and technical support to staff, campers, and families.
• Deliver quality educational instruction to students in a classroom setting, as needed.
• Communicate tech issues quickly and effectively within the tech department and offer solutions.
• Assist with debugging code, project backup, and project printing.
• Tech inventory management and tracking.
• Arrive every day with an inclusive, professional, upbeat, and positive attitude.

We are seeking interns who can work flexible, part-time hours during the spring and transition to approximately 35–40 hours per week during the summer.

Hours:

Spring: 15 hours minimum per week, flexibly scheduled

Please note this is an in-person position and we do not provide housing so you must be able to commute to and from our headquarters.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education, training, or experience in STEM, Computer Science, IT, or related fields
• A background working with kids and teens is recommended, but not required
• Willingness to perform all job duties with enthusiasm and a positive outlook
• Deep appreciation for teamwork and drive to be part of a high-level team
• Candidates must demonstrate flexibility, leadership abilities, and strong communication skills
• Required clearances, or ability to obtain them prior to start date. Lavner Education will reimburse employees for the costs of the clearances if they need to be obtained.
