About BYP100: BYP100 is a national, member-based organization of Black 18 to 35-year-old activists and organizers, dedicated to creating justice and freedom for all Black people. We do this through building a network focused on transformative leadership development, direct action organizing, advocacy, and political education using a Black queer feminist lens. BYP100 envisions a world where all Black people have economic, social, political, educational, and spiritual freedom.

About the Opportunity: Reporting to the Board of Directors, the National Co-Executive Director (Operations & Development) co-creates the vision and strategic direction for BYP100’s next chapter in close partnership with the Co-Executive Director (Organizing & Programs). This leader strengthens people and culture, unifies operations and programs, and drives fundraising and donor partnerships to ensure the organization’s financial health and sustainability.

Key Priorities During Your First Year:

  • Co-Develop & Implement the Vision & Strategic Direction for BYP100’s Next Chapter - 35%: Co-create and steward BYP100’s next chapter of vision and strategy, building trust and alignment across staff, chapters, donors, and movement partners.
  • Strengthen People, Culture, & Organizational Cohesion - 35%: In partnership with the Co-Executive Director, drive talent strategy and staff development efforts that ensure teams are supported to grow and thrive in their role.
  • Deepen Donor Partnerships & Diversify Funding - 20%: Develop and lead a fundraising strategy that ensures financial health, sustainability, and growth — increasing revenue over the next three years.
  • Build Financial, Operational, & Governance Stability Internally & with the 501(c)3 Board of Directors - 10%: In collaboration with the Director of Finance & Operations, lead financial management, compliance, and risk care with integrity to ensure resources are stewarded responsibly and transparently.

  • Drive talent strategy and staff development efforts that ensure teams are supported to grow and thrive in their role.
  • Develop and lead a fundraising strategy that ensures financial health, sustainability, and growth.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Finance & Operations, lead financial management, compliance, and risk care with integrity to ensure resources are stewarded responsibly and transparently.

Working Environment: This is a fully remote position from anywhere within the United States. While relocation is not required, this role does require approximately 25% travel.
