Job summary

Wilson & Company is seeking a Bridge National Practice Leader to oversee public and private infrastructure structural design teams in the Phoenix region. The role focuses on leading operations, guiding engineering staff, and delivering projects with strong communication and collaboration across groups.

Responsibilities include mentoring regional leads, developing proposals, managing utilization and budgets, and coordinating work with cross-functional teams. Travel will be necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in structural engineering leadership or practice management.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required; Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred.
• Ability and willingness to obtain additional state licenses to support regional growth.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities.
• Demonstrated success managing financial performance, utilization, and project delivery.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
• Established relationships within the structures and infrastructure industries to support continued business growth.

Responsibilities

• Mentors, collaborates, and oversees Bridge Regional Practice Leads and supporting project managers and staff.
• Function as a technical leader to facilitate the professional development of engineering staff.
• Direct, plan, and coordinate the team utilization and financial metrics within the Structures Bridge team.
• Develop and review proposals, in collaboration with other team members, to determine project requirements, schedules, budgets, and staffing needs to win the project.
• Direct, plan, and coordinate activities of personnel to ensure that standards, schedules, budgets, and quality expectations are met.
• Monitor and update the pursuit pipeline, operational labor backlog, and projected staff assignments and utilization.
• Working collaboratively with managers across different business groups to meet marketing, sales, staffing, and project delivery goals.
• Travel will be necessary.
