Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel in the United States seeks an Aerospace Operational Care Supervisor within the Freight Forwarding team to manage day-to-day operations and the Operational Care Team, delivering customer-centric execution while maximizing profitability.

The National Air Logistics Aerospace Operational Caresupervisor is responsible to manage the day-to-day operation and Operational Care Team, to deliver excellent, customer-centric operational execution while maximizing profitability. The development of Airfreight operations, enhancing operational capabilities between cost-efficiency and high-quality processing are an important function of the role. The Operational Care supervisor is directly involved in driving business development by managing solutions and costs through carrier/partner engagement. When part of a Aerospace specific AOG, Engine or vertical OCC, the responsibilities will extend to also include activities such as spot quoting, customer coordination and end-to-end shipment processing. All activities are to be performed in compliance with rules and regulations governing air transport, industry, and product standards, KN standards and guidelines, and executed via KN operational systems.

• To contribute as process owner to continuous improvements of processes and controls for lean and cost-efficient operation
• To optimize operations and all systems utilization, working closely with the Optimization team, to ensure the highest levels of
• productivity within the organization
• To support Airfreight procurement and carrier/partner relationship management
• To closely cooperate with Customer Service and key account teams to gain specialized customer specific knowledge and to receive first-hand feedback about the OCC operational execution
• To support Development and Customer Care teams to develop new / existing customers, and during account implementation
• To increase ratio of spot quotes for AOG and Engines and control end-to-end shipment performance as part of an AOG, Engine or vertical Aerospace OCC
