About the Position
A National Account Manager I, Workforce Solutions (WFS) collaborates with Account Executives to transition accounts post-sale and ensure a consistent high quality client experience that maximizes the effectiveness of WFS activation and engagement strategy. An individual develops and nurtures relationships with 40 - 45 mid-level accounts (at least 5,000 but less than 10,000 employees per account) with signed corporate/ government employers, providing direct sales and ongoing relationship management to drive increased revenue. In addition, the individual represents the University within the corporate and higher ed community to increase awareness of University of Phoenix and our educational programs. A National Account Manager I provides account management support and directly interacts with corporate client stakeholder to address and resolve questions and service requests regarding products and services they may be utilizing to educate and develop their workforce.
What You’ll Do:
1. Collaborate with senior department leadership and Account Executives to launch newly-signed clients and build and foster deep and meaningful relationships with mid-level accounts (as described above) in specified industries and service groups; triage and resolve incoming requests from clients. Drive client satisfaction through the development and execution of effective account plans and strategies that are defined by client portfolio, including outlining client engagement, marketing, promotional, and event strategies.
2. Serve as account owner for small and medium-sized portfolio of corporate and government clients and directly engage with client to build a strategic engagement plan that fosters deep and meaningful relationships. Develop and deliver presentations to corporate client stakeholders and influencers, as necessary. Maintain a detailed understanding of markets, segments, and segment organizations with a focus on identifying potential clients and/or entities that align with the University’s strategic objectives.
3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and employer clients to provide high-quality client relationship management; work in partnership with University Academics as needed to provide product insight and determine opportunities for client-focused academic offerings.
4. Provide senior leadership with weekly report progress against account performance targets; update account plans in appropriate sales tracking platform, including preparation of materials for internal and external account reviews to achieve targets.
5. Stay apprised of current events within applicable markets and maintain current and thorough knowledge of all the degree programs; ensure compliance with all applicable regulations (e.g., no solicitation, limitations on University program participation, and third-party administrator processes); ensure all members of account team are aware of applicable regulations and that they maintain compliance at all times.
6. Execute engagement strategy across clients’ entire business geographic footprint and develop solutions to address those needs; define the communications cadence and format that best serves the client’s needs and develops a foundation for long-term account growth. Serve as a B2B resource for Account Specialists to uncover opportunities for direct student engagement.
7. Be available as necessary to attend Workforce Solutions approved events that occur outside of standard business hours, including weeknights and weekends, and which may require out- of-local or out-of-state travel. Collaborate with leadership and corporate clients to organize and prepare for approved client events, including scheduling and providing guidance to Engagement Representatives to ensure fulfillment of mutually agreed upon strategy. Have reliable transportation to attend client and/or community meetings or events.
8. Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Three (3) years of related experience managing corporate relationships; business development and/or sales experience of non-tangible or service-oriented items
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s Degree in relevant field (e.g. Business, Management, Marketing)
• One (1) year of experience in the higher education market and industry, particularly as it relates to adult learners
• Customer service oriented and achieve high levels of employer client tuition program satisfaction
• Proficient in MS Office
• Able to effectively manage and perform work remotely from a home-based office with limited local supervision and maintain consistent accountability for key performance outcomes
• Exceptional presentation skills to present to large audiences
• Strong business acumen and the ability to recognize marketing and business development opportunities and to pursue them strategically
• Able to quickly assess information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and make effective decisions
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and excellent implementation of tasks/projects; strong commitment to quality and accuracy
• Proven results in business development, specifically solution selling methodology
• Able to multi-task and meet daily/weekly deadlines

Pay Range
The annual pay range for this position is $73,400 (minimum), $110,900 (midpoint), and $148,400 (maximum).*
*Typical hiring range is between the minimum and midpoint of the above pay range. Actual starting base pay may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, location and budget.
