Role Overview

The National Account Director (NAD) will manage sales and account activities for managed markets customers, including payers and PBMs, focusing on securing access to Avidity’s products, overturning payer policies, and developing business relationships. The NAD will develop and implement account business plans, work cross-functionally, and provide ongoing insights into payer trends and access barriers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own formulary access, reimbursement, and profitability within assigned accounts.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to present clinical, economic, and business cases to stakeholders.
  • Engage with Medicaid agencies to promote understanding of medical needs and treatment urgency.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within accounts.
  • Develop account plans aligned with corporate objectives and monitor progress.
  • Collaborate with field teams to support customer engagement and strategy execution.
  • Identify regional opportunities and barriers, and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Stay informed on healthcare issues, customer trends, and best practices.
  • Lead and support internal and external teams to ensure effective account management.
  • Analyze account performance and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience, including 5+ years as a National Account Director in Market Access.
  • Knowledge of managed care and PBM segments, private and government.
  • Experience with product launches, especially in rare diseases, preferred.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 60%.
Benefits
  • Base salary: $232,750 - $257,250, commensurate with experience.
