Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate/bachelor preferred.
• 5 years revenue cycle experience with 2 years in denials management (HS); 2+ years finance/accounting (BA).
• Knowledge of ICD9/ICD10/CPT/HCPCS coding strongly required.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to follow SOPs with high accuracy; detail oriented and fast-paced.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Complex Medical Records Request and review for accuracy.
• Interpret payer correspondence and determine next action.
• Submit carrier appeals and reconsiderations per SOPs.
• Review and update line-item receipt posting (LIRP) as needed.
• Manage hold codes and denial reasons; maintain documentation.
• Ensure all claims and appeals are uploaded into OnBase.
• Verify insurance prior authorization requirements for claims adjudication.
• Collaborate with Coding, Billing, Patient Access, and Cash Receipts Specialists.
• Mentor and train new team members; lead small process optimization projects.
