The role requires pressurized schedules and strong background in structural design, statics, and dynamics. You will release flight hardware with a team, produce detailed drawings, support fabrication, and collaborate with NASA and vendors.

Travel is domestic (<15%). U.S.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering degree; BS with 10+ years or MS with 8+ years.
• Proficiency in Creo/Pro-Engineer 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• GD&T knowledge (ASME Y14.5M-1994) applied to drawings.
• Statics and Dynamics understanding.
• U.S. Citizenship and STAR ID required.

Responsibilities

• Release engineering and manufacture flight hardware with a team.
• Develop fabrication and assembly drawings and support fabrication personnel.
• Participate in task meetings and conferences as requested.
• Collaborate with outside vendors and NASA personnel.
• Develop and deliver reports and presentations to MSFC and Amentum management.
• May work overtime to meet aggressive schedule deadlines.
