Job summary

Frequentis USA Inc. seeks a senior Systems Engineer to plan, develop, and implement technical compliance across hardware and software for mission-critical communications systems.

You will translate high-level customer specs into actionable development tasks, lead design reviews with customers, and ensure alignment with industry standards and safety requirements. Qualifications

• BS in engineering or computer science or equivalent experience with IT systems and engineering.
• 10+ years experience in Systems Engineering solutioning, integrating, deploying, and supporting integrated hardware and software systems in networking/communications.
• 5+ years experience in leading/overseeing an engineering team and direct customer interfacing.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills.

Key Tasks

• Plans, develops, and implements technical compliance of product and documents according to Government specifications, guidelines and standards.
• Bridges the gap between stakeholders and the development team, interpreting business requirements into understandable development tasks to match a final product with the expected technical targets
• Derives / allocates hardware / software requirements from high level system customer specifications
• Leads design reviews and presentations of engineering solutions to customers
• Identifies gaps in compliance and develops strategies and engineering tasking to fulfill requirements ensuring adherence to industry stabdards, regulations, and best practices.
• Interfaces with other business operations (i.e., manufacturing, logistics, test, etc.) to ensure system engineering compliance
• Leads and/or executes integration of software and hardware components, testing procedure development and perform system debug, security assessments and system patching, factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, failure location and analysis, creation of technical documentation supporting production build (e.g., rack layouts, cable plans, system layouts, system configuration, build of materials, build plans/instructions), support to production teams to troubleshoot and solve production issues.
• Participates in on-site installations, integration, testing and maintenance activities.
• May participate in remote system monitoring, maintenance, and tier 2 on call support.

Key Qualifications

• BS in engineering or computer science or equivalent experience with IT systems and engineering.
• 10+ years experience in Systems Engineering solutioning, integrating, deploying, and supporting integrated hardware and software systems in the area of networking and communications.
• 5+ years experience in leading/overseeing an engineering team and direct customer interfacing
• Excellent problem solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Highly organized with strong written, verbal communication, and management skills.
